It’s suspicious that they send the Heidi out Friday and call for a conf call Monday. Couldn’t they have said whatever was needed to be said on the video?

That will help the company's bottom line. Not sell. What happens when no one sells anything anymore? These people are even dumber than they look.

What happens when nobody around here sells anything anymore? Great strategy for growth.

Let’s be real-we don’t sell anything. We regurgitate what marketing wants us to. Most times we don’t even have clinical reprints to use.

Can’t wait to see what Anal lube 3.3 brings us on Monday! The motto should be “ Our company leads from the front but our management will get you from behind.”

For the most part, you are correct. However, this feature is why it is so easy for the handful of true salespeople who put in just a little bit of work to consistently be at the top. Those who buy into the whole scorecard just flips every year and it doesn’t matter what you do crowd will never be convinced. I’ve sold in almost every industry. Pfizer’s hiring practices have made this place the absolute easiest to succeed in. Those of us who know how to foster a small relationship with an office and have the courage to simply ask for the business win. Say I’m not a salesperson if that makes you happier. Whatever it is I’m doing has landed multiple awards and not a single year in my career not being at the top. I’ve had years where I started at the bottom but never ended that way. I’ve sold in 3 different industries. I’ve been commission and salary + bonus. The problem here is not that it isn’t sales. It’s the apathetic acceptance of mediocrity. The celebration of who did the most fake calls. If you can learn to just get your head past that and focus on moving business…people look up at the end of the year from their nonsense and wonder what the heck happened? Move business, let the rest of the bs sort itself out.

That said, Pfizer wants to play a game and prove a point. The vaccine has provided enough revenue to allow for a wide margin of error. No more commercially focused approaches. We’ll
Let them come to us and that’ll be enough. I say it’s foolish. But I could be wrong. Like it or not they’re about to pull the trigger and it’s going to be a big change.

that's going to be crazy. Are they expecting folks to move to those call centers and work, or will the "virtual" job truly be virtual and worked from home?

    Right

You would think the call center would be remote, though it didn’t sound like Ike it with 1 being based Chicago and the other Florida

I guess we will find out soon enough

Either way, the position will be paid crap and be totally micromanaged.

Whether big brother is watching over u in person or monitoring/recording your calls remotely, the job will suck

however you slice it those are not jobs anyone is going to want. they'll be low payed and extremely micromanaged. something you do until you find something better.

You make some good points. The old premise that 20% of the customers generate 80% of the business is true today. It is a matter of figuring out how to access them and provide the support that they need to get the business. It's not too difficult to beat the other reps who are not willing to figure that out. But, management is heavily influenced by legal these days. And every word and action is scrutinized. So, they give you the PI to present and some samples to distribute. This job has been over for a long time. There was the need for a change before COVID. It took the shutdown to provide justification for a huge reorganization. Sitting at home, doing little or nothing for 14 months should have been the warning - that the jig is up. There is no more pretending that reps can earn their income in the environment we have today.

It is unlikely that current reps will be filling those positions.
