The largest specialty pharmacy in Florida is Bushnell/Colonial drugs. Those reps Absolutely do go to lunches with offices and office staff have no problems letting them know which reps take them out to lunch. Blow that whistle baby!

 

The Sun manager in Jacksonville goes out with the pharmacy representatives all the time and encourages her reps to do the same. There are many representatives all over partnering with key personnel in the offices and the pharmacy representatives to go to lunches. Sun, Aerie, Kala, I’m sure all of the managers are aware of what their representatives are doing especially if they’re looking at expense reports or working with them out in the field. Think about it, if the representatives are doing that and their sales go up then that’s more money for the managers. Duh.

 

I don’t believe Sun reports to Pharma so they may be able to buy no other companies are doing that

First people jump on to say there is no way it is happening but now after realizing it is happening and Aerie employees in fact are breaking the law they try and justify it.

 

Last time I checked, the managed care coverage was good. Majority of Medicare plans cover the products. The co pay cards have NO cash value. So no ONE is breaking the law. If offices want to use specialty pharmacies they can and do all the time. This is not a new idea or out of the box concept. Tons of companies do this in oph and derm.
