Furlough

My HR connection tells me that salesforce furloughs will begin in a couple of weeks. At that point all paychecks will cease and we’ll all be retained as inactive employees. That’s when determinations will be made as to the value and contribution of each individual territory. Except a 30-40% headcount reduction by the end of Q2.

My HR connection said that I wouldn't have so many nose bleeds if I kept my finger outta there.

We don't need a $135k plus (fully loaded cost) delivery person "aka reps". What all companies are seeing right now is that sales are NOT being impacted to a degree that the high costs of reps are warranted. There will be a HUGE redistribution of reps after this is over.

Very spot on. First batch of vaccine is not going to be until Jan 2021. It will delusional to open the hospitals to reps before vaccine is even available.

For your education, reps are not needed to run a hospital; nurses, surgeons are.

I would hope that our finance and sales analytical team review market share numbers post coronavirus outbreak and sales rep being told stay home. They will see that "market share" numbers were barely impacted and that sales representatives not calling on HCPs makes very little difference and any small market share decline is heavily offset by the elimination of a full time sales force. Now is the time to go contract sales force only.
