this entire place is a complete disaster! This is why the company has trouble filling positions. Think about it, the only human who would be excited about this sales job is a 22 year old or those looking to ride the train a few years to retirement. I left a while ago and so glad I did when I hear about the comments on this blog.

Evan is a puss. Always has been. Always will be. Type of guy that had been bullied his whole life so it is natural for him to bow down to Maria who is a well known bully

They hire people they can low ball and know will be excited to get a $3500 bonus every quarter. They should have done it right from the start. A lot fewer people wouldn't have wasted their time at this dump and the results would have been the same. They paid doctors to write it the first year, then shifted tactics with those copay cards. Smart. Stayed one step ahead of the investigators, but they didn't need tenured reps to do it.

This company is all sorts of shady. But their number be up. Busted for reps pushing copay cards at slimy specialty pharmacies which would openly take the copay cards for Medicare patients ( Delta pharmacy for one). Reps numbers skyrocket and the company is happy.

Then the tactic is to force reps to use speakers for programs their doctors want nothing to do with. If they haven’t written much of our products by now, at this point they never will. Leadership knows the only way to move the needle is for the ample number of speakers to write more. They will only do it if they are getting paid so the company pushes and threatens reps to have a certain number of programs. I’ve never been more embarrassed to be in pharma. Total trash organization. Motivation at an all time low.

Every pharma company does speaker programs. If you don’t like it, then get out of pharma dumb shit.

Leadership is weak here. Evan definitely is clueless in his role. He should just go back to hide in marketing. He’s just the messenger for vince and Tom.

JD got the position because no one else wanted it. She only wanted to be a manager to manage people. She doesn’t have the skill set required to lead. I feel badly for her reps.

Well over 1/2 the DM team lacks the skill set and frankly the ability to manage, motivate and work with a team. This place has made some of the worst hires over the past 18-24 months at all levels. A weakened organization through hiring and promoting absolute shit talent and nasty people.

completely disagree, worked with Jen, she’s committed and accountable, and a great human being, sounds like you’ve been performance managed.

All Pharma sucks. I can’t believe there are still drug reps in the field. Useless.

If docs need samples, they can have them dropped shipped.

If they need product info, they can go online. If they need additional information, they can call the medical dept and if they want an MSL, they can request a visit.

If they have coverage issues, they can call a company that the pharma company has outsourced to, for regulatory reasons and get info that way. If they need more info, they can request a visit from a reimbursement specialist.

But a sales rep coming in every week? What for? Sample drops? Lunches? Give me a break!

Pharma field sales dying slowly but it is dying. Government regulation and a tipping point in the industry will make reps completely obsolete like the buggy whip.

Plus it’s a stupid, meaningless job that offers basically no value to the customer. A monkey can be a pharma rep. It’s not a job you come home from and say: gee, I really accomplished a lot today. Nah, a garbage pickup person has more societal value than a pharma sales rep.

This is fantastic and 100% true! I would love to hear your assessment of those that manage these reps. Same recycled 5 phrases since 1980 and weekly team calls about how many calls you entered each day dropping samples or having a cupcake party where the doc doesn’t even show up because they are an adult.

what kind of person would post something like this? A terrible human being. Probably Maria or Evan trying to deflect attention away from how awful they are.

Are you saying that cupcakes don’t sell Rocklatan? the more sugary treats we bring only increases sales of the red eye drug. Don’t forget to do your 5 speaker meetings this week which no doctor cares about.

Interviewing hard to get out of this $hithole company. Leadership is a disaster you have to play games with. Fall in line or they come after you hard. Even top performers are babysat and bullied and treated like garbage. If Evan grew some balls and canned Maria a lot of us would stop looking.

The problem is way beyond Maria. It’s the Evan and above.

The problem is the entire organization has given up. Including leadership. Everyone is burned out of selling these 2 max med ( at best) glaucoma drugs, then being micromanaged with lots of box checking. They are faking it for investors and that’s about it. They don’t even care that their high turnover is an embarrassment at this point.
