Pharmacy Industry Pushes Pharmacist Prescribing As Specialty Drugs Emerge

Retail pharmacy giants and operators of specialty pharmacies including CVS Health, Walgreens, Walmart and Amazon already have their pharmacists prescribing certain medications like antivirals used against the coronavirus in the wake of the U.S. government’s effort to make sure Americans are quickly treated for COVID-19.
