Will they mess with our pay and titles (which could affect pay and bonus structure moving forward)?

    It is decidedly so.

Will we get that Diversity and Woke crap shoved down our throats?

    You may rely on it.

Because diversity is a so horrible? You sound like a racist bitter bigot! Your white fragility is showing.

Bonus structure yes, but I doubt they will mess with bases. That would trigger a mass exodus

I don’t have a problem with it. Just let it happen organically and not mandate it.

(I'm the OP) Not really. A bit maybe, but the level has been overstated

(I'm the OP) - no. your level and base will likely remain intact. your bonus will of course will different in amount and how the plan is designed

I work at Amgen. They won't mess with your bases. Your bonuses will significantly be less. The target here is less than 40 K and so many make 0 if you lose a plan. Goals don't reset for almost a year.

You will have a car tracker. They can get rid of you at any point. You will have calls all the time, You will be doing exercises that are ridiculous in futile and then you will redo them each quarter.

You'll be responsible for Dr.'s who move in and out of your territory until another rep "agrees" to pick him or her up if you can even find them. You can't get deceased or retired out of your database either. If they move and you don't know where they go...you still are responsible for them.

If your manager does not like you, you will be managed out very quickly. HR is not on the side of the reps.

Amgen is CA based. YES they are woke. After the George Floyd incident we were told they were only promoting AA's.

Wont current Amgen reps be upset knowing that most of us are at 190k+ on our base- I'm over 200k?

Im actually ok with the bonus stuff because I know it will be hard to find a job that pays anywhere close to what I made this year. But keep my base (203k + raise this year) and pay me 40k in bonus is still a great job for the hours I actually work.

Why would we keep any of the Horizon sales force?

no offense because you are obviously just a rep. But you have no clue about rare disease and although that might also be the case for Amgen at the current time- they bought us for rare disease drugs and most certainly will treat them different (because they are). None of our products are like Enbrel where you have tens of thousands of prescribers. Its just doesn't work that way- it will never work that way.

Car tracker lol. No one at Amgen is sitting around checking "car trackers" for the entire salesforce. Not happening now and not going to start happening next year. As far as fake calls for frequence- everyone everywhere does that.

Also I know 6 people in your cardio sales force and 3 selling Enbrel- they never said people get no bonus. In fact they went out of the way to say you are pretty much guaranteed the target give or take 5k depending on your % to quota.

I'm a POC so I won't be easily "managed out"- that is the privilege we get to enjoy now thanks for Floyd.

(I'm the OP) There was a two month period in 2021 where they was “woke“ messaging coming from Thousand Oaks. That’s not nearly the case today

(I'm the OP) I mean, maybe. But that’s our problem. Former Celgene reps were making a lot more in base than Amgen in many cases, but it is what it is

Who would sell our 4 rare disease drugs, moron?
Aside from it being unheard of to just wipe out everyone in a sales force, you don’t even have enough people to replace all of us. The only specialty that you have with existing relationships is rheumatology, and they just restructured in Sept. Is Amgen going to put a rare disease drug that’s actually growing significantly as a P2? Lol!
Will they keep all of us? Hell no. At least one sales force is overweight and poorly organized for sure. They aren’t scrapping all of the sales people, though.

The whole doctor being in or out of a territory is irrelevant to us for the most part. Without forms sent to the hub, vials can’t be attached to a doctor, just a location. It WILL be nice if Amgen actually makes a rule about credit for doctors that overlap territories when it comes to credit for patient starts. Horizon does it on a case by case basis. So dumb.

I would be surprised if they put our target goal similar to Otezla/Enbrel reps given that rare disease is usually higher that standard biologics. Amgen follows standard industry trend to pay more to Oncology, after all. Do you know what is happening with the Chemocentryx team’s bonuses? Do you know exactly what the target bonus is for oncology at Amgen?

Plenty of Horizon reps won’t make what they have been making in bonus. Our bonuses have a WIDE range - often feast or famine. Actually, it may not be a bad thing to have Amgen “even things out”. I hear there aren’t many huge variances in bonuses. Our IC is often terrible for new people coming into underperforming territories, at least on the neph side. Plus, with the expansion that we just did, things will undoubtedly be all jacked up.

Even with the additional 401k from Amgen & their measly equity award, that will be less than what our equity awards have been (though without some huge new catalyst, the money made on recently granted RSUs wasn’t going to increase that much in value).

Meh, it may not be too bad. I don’t care about the metrics crap. I have spent most of my career in big pharma. I’m used to it.
