Merck knows how to motivate a sales force getting ready to launch. Let's review.
Renee disbanded the CLs (which were useless) and “realigned” territories, reducing sales head count. Her actions lacked sensitivity, as evidenced by the training session held on a Monday after the news dropped. She even hired her buddy to manage the formerly known CL. Furthermore, the rollout of the new CEEL positions was disastrous and told us they were approved for more of these useless higher paying positions. These jobs are S3 CL jobs with bonuses. This is a critically bad decision for morale and the business. During every district teleconference, she name-dropped every person in vaccines, as if we cared, and no one could still provide clear information about the CEEL job’s requirements. Marquitha and Krista are the CEEL managers and every person interviewing emphasized it’s still a CL job.
How many layers of managers/directors do we need in this circus?
She conducted an awkward pulse survey teleconference, which was followed by her lap dogs attending every district teleconference. She also failed to fire the individual who posted on LinkedIn. Regardless of what happened before, it was a separate incident.
Renee’s actions motivating the sales team are similar to those of Cynthia whose ignorance came from the fact that she didn't understand sales.
Renee’s performance falls below the expectation rating.
