Kent, Randy, and Cathy are leading salespeople, but they are, in my opinion, the most uninspiring group of leaders I've ever encountered. The only explanation for how they got their positions is that Kent and the others are former colleagues of Todd. It's frustrating to see that none of them make a genuine effort to engage, motivate, or inspire us to improve. They lack vision and often rely on vague encouragement like “go get ’em!” Any success we may have achieved cannot be attributed to our leadership team, that much is certain.
Where is Jake Tapper when you need him?
I do. If you look at the portfolio, it is the same ole stuff. We need an injection of door opener products to get our momentum back. What I mean by door openers, is something different and not knock offs of other stuff out there. There are several start ups that have cool stuff and we can get them cheap versus something crazy that won't really help us. We have the team, just need some juice.
