Who is looking to Leave

OK---Just curious to see who else is interviewing and looking to leave JnJ company, I'll start

Had my final interview yesterday and hoping to get the Eff' out of here.

work for EWHU

anybody else

I also work for Ethicon Pharma (EWHU) and I am trying to get out but it seems like other device companies don't want to talk to me. I know almost everybody is looking, except the newbies, because there is a very good chance the division will go the way of Breast Care, etc., but I really want to get away from the old products and my new pharma manager. I want to stay with J&J, but can not spend another year in this waste land

Will EWHU hit there # this year? How long has it been? Still selling the old products, hoping you don't loose any Thermachoice, or sling business. The key is role play well, and take over a territory without any business, and have them re-visit the old stuff or the line extensions, and promise to make the high users of your product into preceptors. Thats the ticket and then leave, because if you blow it out with the old products then the next year, you will have to grow AND PROTECT your business. How much are you paid on to protect your business? 00000000000, and how many slings on the market, how old is T3. Many posts are negative, but think about the big picture and where is this franchise headed.

I was in Nashville last week at the EES SM region meeting and I talked to at least 12 people that are heavily looking. One even was late to a session because of a phone iv. Kathleen may "believe in EES and the SM", but none of her people do.

Very fulfilling career. I enjoy it here as I believe we provide great value to our partners at the hospital. Not a perfect position but a great place to be and I believe things are looking up after a rough patch the last few years

I'm always surprised that more employees don't post on this site. Surely, I'm not the only one that is frustrated as hell at this company? It's true that management is horrendous. I would take it a step further and say it's almost non existent which is even worse. I have not heard from Kip in probably a year! No email, digivoice, conf call, nothing. As the leader of the sales organization, that is simply amazing.

Usually, I could care less but I guess I am wanting to hear something at this point. Re assurance that I'm not dumb for staying here is what I need. Stupid expectation probably knowing what this culture has become.

I've been here for 7 years and it's the worst it's ever been. That's a fact! Micro managers are becoming the norm and I now have one. Seriously, I've about had it. It's a shame because I still thin we have great products for the most part but the micromanaging part for me is becoming too much. I hate that I have turned down recruiter emails in the past.

Let's not be too dramatic ok? The payoff is commensurate with the amount of work needed to do the job. I work 20-25 hours a week and make well into 6-figures. I've talked to a few CRDM and Ortho reps, and while they make a lot more than me, they also work a lot more than me. I'm making great money for what is essentially a part-time job. Those Ortho and Medtronic guys are in the OR in the middle of the night. Forget that nonsense.

Oh I'm not being dramatic at all. I can only speak for myself and I work way more than 25 hours a week when I factor in drive time, admin crap, etc. make good money which is what has kept me here but I totally disagree that other med reps work way more. I put in 40 hours a week

take your head out of your arse and talk to some reps in your accounts. They work 75+ hours a week and make 400K. It's all about trade-off man. Decide which you value more: your free time, or money. Then make your move.

75 hours? Lmao. No reps work that much. Now who is being dramatic? Bet you won't name the company.

Who's looking to leave? Better question, who has left or who is left? There's roughly 50 reps. in my region. Of which, 15 have left this year = 25% turnover and we haven't even closed H1 yet. Apparently, we really like training new reps. Interested to see what % turnover we have to hit before they will acknowledge the "comp" plan is total shit.

Kip and the crew don't care. If they have a bunch of exec or senior level reps leave, they can bring in a bunch of new grads that make less than $80K a year and are excited to be in medical sales.
