Looking at an opportunity in the south east with ACell (and reading through some of the normal garbage on this site) I can't seem to figure out if this is worth the risk.

Turnover seems high, competition seems high, reimbursement seems risky, DOJ investigation seems concerning, but I have heard from a few surgeons that the product works quite well. Anyone still with the company have any thoughts?

turnover is at an all-time low, competition is and remains high, reimbursement is hit or miss depending on whether you focus on inpatient or outpatient and what MAC your territory is in, DOJ investigation has been around for years and really doesn't affect us, and the product is the best in the business, hands down. risk depends on what your current situation is, if you're employed then you'll have to compare it to your current risk, if you're not employed, don't be a dumb ass.

Was contacted by a recruiter and was pitching 180-200k. From previous post I see that wasn't realistic a few years back. How is compensation currently? Are only a handful of reps hitting quota?

Listen, some reps hit quota, some managers hit women.

I am also looking at an opportunity, but have heard mixed reviews. How is the culture here and how have the company's sales been over the last few years?

Go away troll. Please refer to previous response a few weeks ago:
"if you're employed then you'll have to compare it to your current risk, if you're not employed, don't be a dumb ass"

Not trolling, dumba$$, just trying to get some feedback. Recruiters and managers don't always give an accurate picture.

Just wondering about the inpatient/outpatient comment, too.

The question about sales is because it shows the direction the company is going.

    Also, culture is also important.

    Anyone besides the "go-away-troll" guy?

"go-away-troll" guy back in action since nobody else wants to point out the obvious. If culture is important to you, so is having at least a 5th grade reading level. Please read some of the recent posts, there are pro's and con's at ACeLL, like all device companies. This site certainly draws more negative posts than positive, so read through the disgruntled ex-employees and competitive reps stirring up nonsense and you will find a fantastic product still developing a market, in a competitive field, that takes hard work and smart work, solid relationships, ability the to learn and you can certainly be successful. If you dont have those skills and relationships, then you will probably not succeed here.

You are definitely the bad that I have heard about this company. Docs laugh about the reps with the pixie dust. Good luck with your "best in class" product.

Anyone who says "pixie dust" SHOULD be laughed at, and NOT working for this company.
