Well that certainly wouldn't be a surprise! There are a total of 8 Onc/Hem reps calling on a given MD! Way too many!! I'm one of those folks and work in a territory with poor access other than by lunch. How about some early retirement!? I think it is disrespectful that Novartis even thinks this many reps from 1 company are all seeing the same doc!! It will be interesting to see if you are correct!!
With the move of oncology into the primary care marketing strategy of " more reps is better model" I would suspect Novartis would use the same approach to thin the herd as they have with primary care. PIPs will become common place. Once you are placed on one of those it's time to start looking for a new job. Nobody gets off of a PIP.
