Okay...We get it. This guy is now running the solutions for SCG and it is doomed. It would have been doomed regardless.

It wouldn't kill your reps to actually go out and create a demand for the products. SCG can present deals all day to hospitals, however, if the docs aren't driving the demand for your products (or don't know who your reps are), it's a lost cause. You guys bug the shit out of the ortho reps to help sell products that you can't. Ethicon sales force is part to blame too...just sayin'.

We need a good contracting approach for SCG

Funny...since the contract/strategy team is non existing.

SCG is a wasteland of people either waiting to retire or who should've retired years ago. They have no true accountability and are in no way comped based off of growth/decline at accounts. They have tremendous power when it comes to contracting and couldn't give a shit whatever input a local rep has toward a contract discussion. They do not think outside of the box, they simply follow the matrix provided to them and send off the contract once its signed. This group is worthless

Much like the Ethicon field sales team. You guys are worthless that have zero relationships with your surgeons. Contracts do not convert business. Good sales people do. Wait until DS and Ethicon merge sales, most of you will be gone. Also, you can thank your company for forcing those pricing matrices on commoditized products. What a bunch of brain washed jerkoffs.

Ds merging with ETHICON? Who knows but it won't affect too much in my opinion for field sales. Products are completely different. Ds has some strong relationships because they are very focused on a handful of surgeons but that is such a small portion of what an average territory would look like if you combine Ethicon with ds. ETHICON is a hunter role and covers more specialties, products, etc and tougher to manage in general.

im not sure a ds rep would thrive In an ETHICON culture. it's just a different sales job

This is some funny shit. There is nothing "innovative" with this nonsense at all. Had a guy come in from this team to talk with my hospital leadership. Actually it was forced on us. He had absolutely no idea what he was talking about and tried to push some expensive program?!?!.!. They asked me not to bring him back in...EVER. As a matter of fact I'm still trying to repair my relationships and reputation because of this. Joke.
