Quota Increase. WTF

    Wow Andy! The first thing you do is increase quota. Way to further ruin the already deteriorating relationship between the field and corporate. How can SLT give us a quota, make us sign a document acknowledging that you understand your goal and then change it mid year? This is no way to start your tenure. The explanation is that quotas were not finalized. Really, more like we are spending all this money on Progessional Education and Franchise leaders so we need to sell more to make up for those programs. I get that. But changing quotas like this is just bad form Andy. If you want to increase efficiency cut some those marketing and middle managers at corporate who are generating zero revenue. Sales is tired of being taxed to cover for corporate mistakes. It's like Hawkins all over again.

    They can't cut those people. Who else would be there to kiss their a$$ and tell them how great everything is? Freaking pathetic. I am at a loss for words at the lack of understanding of how things really work in the field.

    This company is following the pharma model (which never works for device companies.) They just never understand that it is cheaper to make the reps happy which increases productivity. Instead, they have decided to raise quotas which will cause an exodus and replacements won't know what they are doing for a year meanwhile costing 6 figures to train them. But hey, corporate decisions are infallible right? Hahaha nope.
