I am desperate. M gorgeous daughter is considering working as a pharm rep. My husband and I are horrified, but unaware of the full picture. He would die if he knew I was posting on this site. Can any experienced folks give me a "real life" account of this career? thanks

Excuse me.... But we "pharma reps" are ALL college grads... Some from far more prestigious universities then NYU ( some with advanced degrees too). Additionally, we are ALL very gorgeous. We work hard and are skilled at what we do. What makes you think your daughter is to good, special, privileged , intelligent or good looking for this career. Let you daughter make her own choices in her career and be proud of her for the path SHE decides to take. The one who should be horrified is you daughter. It sounds like she has judgmental and unsupportive parents. I wish your daughter the best! (Please you and your husband get over yourself)
    Sincerely - Dear Pharma Abby

We generally look at rumps and racks during the 1st interview. Both must be at least an 8+ to move forward to the next stage. Please keep this in mind during the application process.

A significant camel toe will most certainly put her at the head of the line.

You're daughter will have the task of selling products to doctors. She will earn more than a living wage and most likely he provided a company vehicle, as well as several other benefits. If this sounds demeaning to you, I advise you take the silver spoon out of her mouth and stick it directly up your ass.

Since you as a parent have probably kept her under lock and key her whole life she will go crazy to meetings. Probably the first one that is hammered at bars and hooking up with coworkers. Congrats on creating the perfect pharma rep!

If she is a sell out like you seem to be, then she will do fine.

My advice to you is to move your daughter away from pharma.

This industry is going the way of the Commodore computer and ditto machines.

Even if she gets in, which is unlikely, she will have to deal with the constant threat of layoffs, idiotic managers, the government and the public who think that medicines cost one penny to produce and they shouldn't have to pay for healthcare.

    Good luck!

Selling textbooks is better OR insurance OR real estate.
