Flex time - The house wife contract - Someone who wants to out of the house and shop or sell maybe. The past two contracts have not gone well - Novartis 7 days the Sunovion 7 months. This AZ contract will be short. 4 to 6 months.

So take if you have nothing going on.

I bet some of these part time housewives work harder than some of the full time slugs.

Someone who was fired and desperate to get back into pharma sales.

This type of starting salary will be the norm in Pharma sales soon. Seriously, how much talent and brains does it take to do this stupid job. It has been dumbed down to the level that the UPS delivery person could do it and more efficiently. They could actually hand the samples to the Physician in exchange for a few seconds to look at a marketing commercial.

Not so fast, chump. This profession went south a long time ago. Not all reps are stupid. Many have brains and amazing talent. Sadly, these awesome reps got branded through the actions of their stupid, worthless and arrogant counterparts. I agree that this profession has lost its esteem and good reputation that it had decades ago. This is the reason why the smart ones of today no longer pursue a career in pharmaceutical sales. Many reps who were wrongly branded have left pharmaceutical sales for other industries. I say that $60k might be too high a salary for many current reps at AZ.

I know managers that aren't worth 60K including mine.

I have worked in this industry for over 20 years and have seen first hand how the value and talent has eroded.
It has particularly eroded the last 10 years. If you owned this company, would you keep this entire sales force intact? Would you pay any reps or managers six figure incomes plus bonuses? How about the CBDs ore EBDs? Disregard their absurd salaries and stock options, are they even necessary? I would bet that a survey using these questions would be almost unanimous NO or Hell NO.

What do you expect from a company that thinks diversity is more important than talent, experience, leadership skills, and generating results. When we put minorities in leadership roles because we think they have potential and then allow them to screw up for years before admitting they were a bad fit. They will allow minorities to commute to HQ at a huge expense to the company just so they can add to their minority numbers.
Don't you think at some point someone would ask, "Why do we need to make exceptions for people if they are truly the best candidate of the job?" Or as Trump said today, "Why are we paying to bring people from these shit hole countries so that we can have the tax payers support them in the hope that they get an education and can become productive citizens?" Shouldn't we being paying to bring in bio engineers, math and science teachers, nurses, doctors, ? At least he asked the question that now has the liberals going ga ga in their panties.

Agreed. I prefer my managers from Norway, just like 99% of managers in the industry.
