    HI Folks,

I am hoping to find someone willing to give me a call and help me to better understand how animal healthcare products, particularly those used exclusively by vets in their clinics or hospitals, are promoted by manufacturers and distributors. I am familiar with human health products, but not so much with the nuances of the animal health environment. I would really appreciate your help. 484-681-9081

It would take more than a phone call my friend... the entire veterinary supply chain is currently in a state of semi-chaos, with constant manufacturer and distribution mergers and buyouts (or the constant threat of such - see Human Pharma), the meteoric rise of GPOs, increase of corporate-owned clinics, I could definitely go on... plus the fact that nearly every post on this board is negatively toned toward the original posters own company, from a manufacturer and distribution standpoint you get the feeling that the vet world is not a very happy place to be right now. Do stay tuned and read this forum, because the next few months should be quite a ride.

So OP, products are promoted thru print ads in trade magazines, reps that visit veterinary offices in person, booths at trade shows and, for the deeper pocket companies, by constant barrage of tv, radio and print ads targeted towards the consumer..
