So did I hear corrrect on the Conference Call that after a few weeks of launching Shingrix GSK doesn’t have enough stock of product in the channel system? How on earth after years of launch planning does this happen? What about the mandatory VMS meetings designed to keep this from happening? GSK leadership has got to be the worst in the industry. I’m sure that the Shingrix team, Al, FVP’s and Directors will be rated as a 4 partially meets or 5 doesn’t meet expectations. I can no longer risk my reputation working for such an unorganized, disjointed, horribly lead pharma company. How can a company with such great products and people be in the dark ages? Someone other than IS’s and PAM’s should be held accountable.
Agree with poster. We all did our jobs. Now we’ve got to go explain why accounts may not have Shingrix available for the next several months.
I cannot stand people like you and you’re why this company has became what it has in the past few years. 100% legit post and you try to play the “just do your job” card. Go kick rocks you hack. This company never ceases to disappoint me.
Sparky, I know you hate reps who work hard, put their noses to the grindstone, and don't complain.....BUT, we are the ones making the company roll........not whiners like you.
Strategy should’ve been updated after ACIP Rec’s. Supply question was asked and answered inaccurately multiple times over past few months. There are no excuses to explain GSK’s poor leadership and the inability to effectively launch products.
CDC Statement.......... "Due to high levels of demand for GSK’s Shingrix vaccine, providers should anticipate ordering limits and intermittent shipping delays for Shingrix between now and the end of June 2018, whether vaccine is ordered directly from GSK or through wholesalers and distributors. GSK is currently working to make more doses available in the near term for the US market in order to meet the demand for this vaccine."
Hey kids, I had heard the vaccines folks were the happiest at GSK but it doesn't look like it from this thread...can anyone confirm?
Very happy! Better than being the fourth GSK respiratory rep, having to detail the same doctors every day!
This supply issue is a big miss no doubt but we have a portfolio of vaccines to sell. The CDC preferred Reco for Shingrix will work itself out. Vaccines has been a GREAT place for 10 yrs although with the infiltration of gsk dud pharma reps and pharm. management all trying to protect gsk heritage when it's not the best choice for gsk...it's turning into a division where pharm. reps simply aren't cut out for the VBU. A vaccines position requires being able to sell at a high level. I have heard a number of pharma reps come over to vaccines and say " this job is sooo much harder then pharma" Sadly with the way our IC model works these people still get paid when the real workers are selling!
Ok click bait, I’ll bite. You have lost your god damn mind!! The VBU has broken several records ever since pharma reps came over to help you. Both Adult AND Ped side. Define real workers please???
The goal have been getting broken because of the products NOT the reps with the exception of Menveo, that requires actual selling ability. Look at the territories performing with Menveo and this are your real sales people with the exception of the IS that are getting doses rolling up to them that thy had NOTHING to do with and their PAM are good sales people. Real workers= Reps that can actually sell. Vaccine isn't about detailing and asking for a Dr. to write a script. It's an actual total office sell.
So GSK has the chance to launch a blockbuster but guess what, they plan for failure by understocking and producing the vaccines leaving huge shortages. Emma, this came on your watch. We will give you a mulligan on this one but this was “Witty like” in terms of the screw up of this magnitude. How many millions are waiting on the sidelines for the vaccine to be delivered to pharmacies and physician officrs?
