    1. Tell your report that is allowed to work 2 days at home a week that you want them at home only 1 day. No one cares if you have to travel from PA. When they quit you can find someone better.
    2. Tell your report it’s ok to miss an off site. Make sure to text them when the off site occurs asking why they aren’t there.
    3. Make the report who is on a PIP go to the team building. Try to sincerely ask for feedback. That should speed things up.
    4. Take credit for your team’s work.
    5. Pit the reports against each other.
    6. Tell the report you have his/her back. Keep them guessing.
    7. Invite the report to dinner. Make sure you tell them you care.
    8. Always say, it’s not me it’s the VP who is the problem.
    9. Don’t worry. HR will cover for you. Just make sure the report isn’t going to have grounds for discrimination.
    10. Don’t worry. Compliance hotlines never do anything.
    11. Insist on reading drafts of everything you can. Micromanage them out so you can get someone better.
    12. Make sure to gaslight your reports in team meetings.
