Safe is a relative term. You assume that people are seeking the warm embrace of a paternal company to give them comfort and stability when those same people did quite well joining a small, high risk, upstart company
Everyone is expendable, especially the managers, who were just following their past co workers from other companies. Not real leaders, just designated by their cronies.
