Expansion?

So with all the doom and gloom on this website the company is going to invest in a major expansion? Can anyone comment as to why they are doing this? Are there new products on the horizon? I am being told they want people with a surgical background so they can sell an injectable Rx, why? Is the call point really standing toe to toe in the OR to sell a drug to a surgeon? I would be shocked with how difficult ORs are today with credentialing that this position would get you past the lobby. Lastly, does this product have healthy insurance coverage? If this is being purchased for use in the OR, how is coverage on GPO Rx formularies like HPG, Premier, and Vizient? Appreciate candid feedback.

My suggestion, go talk to 5 Pharmacist in your area and see what their reaction is on exparel- Ask them:
    1. Do you think the product works
    2. Would you support adding exparel to formulary or specialty

Keep in mind with doctors selling their souls to the hospitals and becoming hospital employees they have little power to get anything approved at the formulary meetings. The company you need to look at is Heron Therapeutics, Look them up and read the corporate overview- They address working with GPO's Price Discounting....

    Nice pink font.

And if you think Heron will have any better luck with selling a product with far less clinical data, no admixing flexibility, a more limited prescribing label at launch, a dosing technique no surgeon has ever utilized, and a sales force who has already struggled to sell a more expensive, relatively me-too nausea/vomiting drug, you are making a GIANT leap of faith.

funny how the grass always looks greener on the other side...

But Heron is not run by megalomaniac who thinks he knows more than everyone else. Pacira will finally collapse of its own weight
