It depends on what's important to you. The NE area probably has the worst culture in the sales organization. I worked for the company for years and have a deep understanding of the sales team.Who's the hiring manager? If you're in NYC, and the hiring manager is Jennifer Stevenson, she's an absolute sweetheart and just an all around person. The problem lies with the Area Sales Director (Jessica McNulty) and the toxic culture she's created. She's by far the worst leader I've ever come across in my entire career. She's fake, a back stabber, and (obviously) someone you should never trust. Her entire leadership team hates her and so do the other ASDs across the NA sales team. She's lost numerous sales managers and reps over the past couple of years because of her toxicity. I've been in numerous meetings where the directors and VPs were all talking shit about her, but she thinks everyone respects her. Unfortunately, she was hired by an old VP that was fired after being in the company for less than a year.

Honestly, it's a great company and has a ton of opportunity, but I would stay away from the NE area. I don't know too many that are happy in that area.

Being a former Marketing Manager during the start-up days, I would be more concerned about the strategy Align is going to launch against Smile Direct's new space of selling to Orthos and GPs. This could be a devastating loss of market share. Need to ramp up direct to consumer promotions to drive patients to their GPs or Orthos, also probably going to need to reduce case costs. The professional community that has been on board with Align since those early days are losing money and patients. They believe in the product but need Align to believe in, and support them. Align is not the only player in this space anymore so they need to step up their game, for their clinical customers and shareholders.

This Wednesday's earnings call is going to be scary! You might want to clarify this situation before you sign on the dotted line.

Are you a current or former employee? I interviewed with Jessica so this information is a bit alarming when considering on joining the company should they offer me a position.
