Interviews that are rigged.

What are some of the signs to look for to avoid these situations?

We all know this happens, and it is illegal too. I would like to see some reporting done, and some companies start getting sued for this behavior.

Here is something everyone needs to understand about this industry.

1. Never apply for a job that is highly sought out UNLESS you are referred by an influential friend. The reason is that, in most cases, these highly coveted jobs already have numerous candidates that are already referred in. So, if you don't have an inside track, you will never get the job. Remember, this industry is NEVER about how good you are in sales, but it ALWAYS is about who you know. It sucks. But, that is a fact.

2. Only apply for the second or third or even fourth tier jobs when you are looking and don't have an inside referral. You do this because there will be a reasonable chance that you will get the job. Most importantly, you will not be wasting your time in the interview process.

Be smart people. Your time is valuable. And don't let these disgraceful companies disrespect you.

This makes sense with all the strippers and jocks that get hired in this industry.

If you are over 50 and still in this industry, you have issues. I will give the 40-50 crowd some slack, but they are pathetic as well. If you are under 40, you are pretty much an idiot by default, so I can't blame you entirely.

If you see your interviewer not taking many notes or ends the interview early, you will not get selected.

yes, it was another rigged interview.

F this industry. can't wait until I get let go and get my severance. no integrity. just awful. let them hire the newbies that consider a job one that has a company car.
