Bill had nothing to do with this. Agreement was struck with MDT, as the company’s new business partner, to exit their very lucrative Neuro and key ENT areas prior to an outright purchase of company. Stefan Habermann was recently overheard in recent conversation confirming as much while in LA.
Look for more areas of competing interest to be discontinued as well.

Curious to know what the competing interest that this exit eliminated was...

So when does MDT announce purchase of KS?

nice. But no it doesn’t. MDT already exited neuroendoscopy, so how did KS scopes present a competing interest?

Who do you think will buy those lines now?

Medtronic to buy Karl Storz? Why would they spend billions on a dinosaur? KSI hasnt developed anything cutting edge in decades. Medtronic isn't that sharp, but they're smart enough to stay out of the market versus making a dumb decision like that.

Karl Storz's "cutting edge products" are a story people tell their kids as a bedtime tale. They haven't developed anything in decades. Too busy working those four "tens" that somehow become 32 hours per week, going for 20 mile bike rides at noon, or spending those hard earned education spending accounts. It's the best job a 55 year old engineer can get as he coasts into retirement!

Karl Storz had a Neuro division? They just had a bunch of scopes. LOL
Medtronic will acquire this company strictly for their video integration into their robotics system. Its a matter of time. Whats next they are going to say they have an ENT division.
