with an economic impact that will hit just about every sector of the economy. a Line of sight we can't quite see right now. This pandemic could last til the summer if not longer. Having such a heavier payroll now and really needing less people to do a job if a bulk of it goes "virtual" one has to wonder if senior leadership would have waited to expand.. knowing what they know now.
Label expansion or an easier delivery method aren't coming for some time .. its feeling like being conservative would have been the best move to get us through this event.
New reps will have a hard time accessing HCPs if they don't already have an existing relationship from a prior job. So the idea of virtual web meetings with soon to be very busy HCPs who are scrambling to handle a medical crisis across the country sounds like something that just won't happen.
We will have a lot of new people frustrated.. not really adding any additional revenue.. that runway to getting in the green just got a lot longer. Hard to increase patient finding in areas that needed more boots on the ground from the comfort of a home office. Hindsight 20/20 I suppose.
The medical community is taking this day by day so I doubt they will notice a web meeting on their books if they are deciding which cases are most urgent and which can wait til we get to calmer waters.
I guess there will be some sort of busy work to make folks feel better I suppose
