Mallinckrodt Rapid Deployment positions

Anyone know more about this? I believe I read it would be for a specific time frame. Anyone know what that would be or what the product is? They are laying off people so I'm assuming they're laying off their current direct hire expensive reps and trading them in for the inexpensive contract reps. Nice. Oh well I need a job so that's ok.

You are given a very large geography and multiple products in which to certify. Within your large geography, you have a territory of your own that you work normally. However, if someone goes on short term disability or FMLA, etc, you will be "rapidly deployed" to another part of the territory to work for a few days or weeks. You will be required to stay in a hotel in that area for that time period. Not sure how this business model is working currently with all the stay at home orders.

Is this model working out? How are people calling on doctors in other territories with the offices closed to Reps?
