Retirement

There is a rumor circulating that early retirement packages will be offered before the end of the year. The plan is being called 5-5-1, as it will give 5 years added to your age, 5 years added to your years of service and 1 year of severance pay. I have not heard of any other information such as what criteria will be used to qualify for the package (over 50? over 20 yrs of service? etc). I've only had one source say they had this confirmed by their manager, so not sure what to believe. Would love anyone in HR to add to this thread and tell us what they know.
