I’m starting at Intuitive as a CTA and beginning CAST soon. I’m extremely nervous as everyone only talks about how hard it is. I know it will not be a walk in the park, but can anyone shed some light on this or give any suggestions/tips on getting through! Thanks!
CAST is not that bad. Everyone makes it out to be a really hard thing. It’s not. The hardest thing about CAST in conforming to the the “Intuitive way” and not taking a long walk off a short bridge after hearing leadership spew an unbearable amount of bullshit. As a CTA, they won’t be too hard on you. Just keep your head down, don’t SA anyone and pretend you don’t want to vomit when they talk about “culture”. You will be fine.
So what you’re basically saying is I need to be a fake robot. Just say it, we are all being coerced into soulless brainwashed robots falling in line with the bs systemic narrative created by a few wealthy, selfish narcissistic and psychopathic clowns in upper management. IMO of course. I’m fine buying into that narrative while I still have the ability to throw shade on my pride. Only a matter of time.
Isrg is a toxic company. Make it thru cast and put in a couple years. After that move onto a more premier med device opp. Think of it as a stepping stone. Lot more money to be made in the heart and vascular space anyway.
Just don’t fall for the cult shit. They will convince you that it’s the only place you will ever find meaning. It’s not. There are a ton of other companies who will treat you well and allow you to be fulfilled. Intuitve is a hellscape after the new wears off.
Spot on. There are plenty of other roles in higher end segments in device that pay better with less BS. Vascular on the low end is around 275k.
