This industry was never and is never going to be about helping people.

My guess is about 99 percent of health issues can be resolved with a good diet and health and some mental self-introspection.
The other 1 percent is going to be in the DNA and can't be controlled.
The main point here is that these medical industries are just an illusion, set forth to take your money.
Do yourself a favor and find an industry that actually values you as a person and has less stress. You can better use your time getting exercise and eating correctly, which should easily get you a good life and get you past 85 years of age.
Stop with the corporate nonsense and making the higher ups and owners of these companies millions and billions of dollars, while you slave off for a lousy 100-200K. Its not worth it.
Most of you are not intelligent enough to understand this simple concept, unfortunately.
But, I still wanted to post to help those that want a better life in this evil realm we are currently living in.

Another terrible aspect of this industry is how these companies want you to think that you are never doing enough for them. That you need to work harder. This is even despite the fact that you are a top performer.

The nonsense never ends.

I hope the younger generations consider other careers.

I hope those of you still in the game learn how to not work so hard when they are not looking either. Take your time in the field, and don't over sell when they are not on field rides with you.

Their is no loyalty anymore and return that fact to them. That is what they deserve.

Probably the most factual and valuable posting I've ever read on CP...

Quite simply, this whole industry (and many related ones) are complete scams...
In place just to extract money from the uninformed and/or desperate.

And, try to avoid interaction with the medical establishment, if possible. They are now mostly working for corporations where profit is priority over ethical patient care. Ordering unnecessary tests and procedures, and prescribing too many unnecessary drugs, causing patients stress, inconvenience, and expense. Interactions with providers who lack empathy are not pleasant - too many providers lack empathy these days. Dealing with the bureaucratic medical system causes frustration. The list of negatives goes on. See a provider if there's an absolute need (for example, trauma, surgery, etc.). See a therapist for mental health issues (hopefully a good one!) if needed. Do one's best to remain physically and mentally healthy. As far as living a long life, I believe it's more about quality of life than length of life, however the data show that if you make it to age 65 the odds are you live to be 85.
