As a loyal Abbvie employee, I believe it is time for change in our executive management ranks. We need to bring in new and visionary talent that can improve R&D productivity and revamp the commercial organization to address the realities of new health care systems. Really, our large marketing/sales force is an antiquated business model. In-person selling is going the way of brick and mortar retail stores - - - bye, bye.

Your post is on point. Most of us have only 15 - 20 doctors that we can actually see on a bi-monthly basis. Some days, I just drive around until 3:00PM and then head home. Very discouraging but the paychecks keep coming. With Artificial Intelligence coming on board, the pharma rep job will go the way of dinosaurs. Time to start drinking adult beverages on Friday noon!!!
 


This is AbbVie - change don’t live here. We will beat AI. We will throw out our computers and use a pad and clip board before we ever truly change our Abbott roots. With all due respect, why should we? Top pharma company. Have you noticed all the awards we win for best place to work. Some people don’t like it like any other place then leave. Just leave if you can do better. what is stopping you?

Ain’t that a bitch? First, love don’t live here anymore and now change is gone? Please keep it to yourself and refrain from telling me that opportunity is no longer knocking. I can only take so much.
 








Wheels are in motion for yet another one to go. This time, unlike ES, people will celebrate this overdue departure. And before I give anyone false hope. It’s not ding dong.
