These Cardio…. “Jobs” are dead end career ending “opportunities”

I've wondered the same, why can't the e reps (who often have very few targets) call on them? altho I have questioned the roi on our army of educators and they are certainly here to stay...

I have been a dcs and have interviewed for both jobs over the last 5 years. I declined the educator job after the geography changed, and the cardiology job was just a soft interview with the DM. It didn't sound like that part of the organization knew what they were doing, it was a strange conversation so I never pursued it. The person that got it, hates it. Has no idea what they are doing ( that division not rep) and is trying to get into OCS or DCS.

Are these positions going to internal candidates only? I do not work for NNI and have a phone screen scheduled but I get the feeing it’s just a courtesy interview.

Internal candidates obviously have an edge, but if you show up and you have the right background you definitely could get it, depending on who the hiring manager is. As is the case with a lot of things in corporate America, much is already decided ahead of time, but I still wouldn’t let that stop you from giving it a shot.

I’m not in that division, but I don’t think it’s a dead end. Look at all the cardiac data published for Wegovy. You’re going to have multiple CV products in your bag and the company is buying up CV assets left right and center.
