That left several open territories where they could shift remaining people around. Yes, some will be cut, but not as many as they originally planned. Odds are in your favor that you will be retained.

That's great if the people that left are in someone else's vicinity, but it's meaningless if the open position is 2 hours away. Nobody is making that commute.

I wonder if this were to happen if you would be eligible for the Novartis severance. I seem to remember someone mentioning something like “territory hardships” or something like that would allow you to take a package.

The last reorg had a few people having to drive into territory. There will be about 10 reps per manager, and some will be selling Dry eye products only, and then a few may have larger territories selling the Legacy products and Miebo. If you haven’t done well selling Miebo you are more lucky to keep the Legacy brands or be let go, especially if you are up against a Novartis performer. If there are Bausch open territories and vacant you could also be transitioned over to a Legacy role. High likelihood everyone’s territory will change to some degree. Get in those address changes now to ensure territory doctors are correctly aligned. Good Luck!
