Pain Start Date?

it will be interesting to see how this plays out, and if the stock gets a big pop upon approval. If it does, probably a good time to go short. I think there are a lot of high expectations built into this drug, and I frankly think it’s going to fall quite a bit short.

I agree, this opportunity is going to be amazing. Instead of getting on here a bagging on it for the people who made will launch 548. Why don't you try to have some class and get in on the next round when they launch for new indications coming out 2026. Obviously you were seen as a top candidate so and Vertex has proven to launch drugs well and be extremely successful. I am truly excited for the future here.

I so agree. Anyone who has been in the pain or hospital space before with any medication knows this is not going to be used there. Not early on and not with that data that is available. Maybe many years down the line. Who will Rx this until then and until the price goes down? A PCP? Thats a big maybe, that’s if it’s eventually covered. Hard sell for a very so so pill that is not even equivocal to an opioid. Vertex sounds like a great company but they have never played in pain The hospital route seems like a very terrible strategy. Also the pill isn’t even available yet and no pharmacist will consider this until there is stronger data. Ask and Dr is they would fight to get approved for their use. Access is hard enough in offices, this will be no different the pressure will be so intense with all eyes on every move before and during launch . If you are not in need of a job, think long and hard. Was a hard pass the more and more I really thought about it even though the base was great. All the money in the world doesn’t help get you through a day in the field with this as your only product

I think this a great opportunity with a great company. Leadership is solid, company has cash and assets. Data is single arm vs double arm. Still a lot to be worked out but Suz will eventually take over opioid space due to efforts of this launch team.

ummmm what? Double arm? Were you hired? That explains A LOT!

All the talking here has helped me make a decision to pass on this. I come from infusion world and this is new space to for me and I am glad to hear other people call out what should have been obvious all along but I got hooked from
salary posted. If it seems to good to be true it always is
for me it was the annual RSU each year that sold me, way to invest in your people! the novel selective non-opioid moa will have challengers but selling transformation isn't always for the local pharma rep with a catering app

wring again. Read the information. This is the issue people on the street think they are smarter than the science. It is another option for the people suffering in pain. It is likely non addictive. It is an alternative to the limited offerings on the market.

enough of the predictions get out there and sell.

What’s everyone’s take on this job? I think once it gets chronic pain it’ll do well but I’m not so sure about post surgery. Efficacy data is not that impressive. I don’t think this will touch opioid market share unless it’s for someone with a history of addiction
Stop thinking and sell. Do you have a MBA in sales? Do you have a market access analysis? What about eveine who is at risk for addiction. I’ll take it tomorrow stop by. And pick me up a sandwich

sell it before the competition arrives. Fools.

Whatever you are on... I need some... This drug launch is not going to be easy.. Data was not impressive..

I guess you’re the type that needs things easy to be successful. If that’s the case then be glad you didn’t get the offer. Enjoy your current job, survive the next round of layoffs and you’ll be fine. I’ll be enjoying myself here as well.

I’ll say it again. Fool. And I’ll work on spelling better. Cut the chatter and read the data. This won’t be a dog unless you make it one. Failed launches do happen and if not vertex the next pharma in line will do it. Plenty of players in the rear view.

Cutting yourself short. Fools.

Relax. Collect your check. Begin to vest yesr after yesr in the rsu. The drug has a good likelihood to be delayed. Enjoy more prep time and collect the check.
No matter what do not challenge the strategy. The biggest mistake u can make is to question anything they tell you.
The hospital sales will be near the zero range after first year. Script sales will be slow first year but you have potential.
It will not be huge but you just need to collect the check, not question, enjoy the generous vacation time and pray your manager is not a dick or too micro.
