Primary Care Expansion NEURO

Anyone know about expansion primary care? Recruiter posted earlier and many openings. Pay? What is drug? I see a schizophrenia drug marketed. Car or allowance? Thanks any information.

Ironically almost posted same, Interested in car or allowance because an allowance means buying a car in tough times.

Company car given, not an allowance. Pay is decent and the drug isn’t bad. That’s where it ends. The culture here is abysmal. Upper management could care less about you or your development. It’s all about sales. Bottom 30% get written warning / PIP. Fall into the category twice and you’re gone. Reach out to several currently employed reps to get the 411. CEO owns the company as well. Has no idea how or what to do with a sales force. If you decide to go for it, make sure it’s a decent territory with lots of commercial business. Medicaid business is nonexistent . Good luck

Agree with most of what you said. Caplyta is a great drug and the company brought in a lot
of good reps to launch. Leadership sucks hard. No communication. Everything is a reaction. You get your goals about 8 weeks into the quarter so they are manipulating goals based on trends. Have a bad week and you can expect to feel the heat. Expect to do a ton of speaker programs. Coverage is important so pick your territory carefully. Not sure where you are looking but 90% of the country has very good Medicaid coverage including unrestricted. If the territory is in a state without public aid coverage, you need to have great commercial or you will wind up in the bottom 25% and ITCI hands out PIPs like confetti. The hiring manager means everything. Some areas and regions are great while others are toxic. The company is still trying to decide what they want the culture to be. Good luck.

This is true. Coverage is king in the mental health space. Find out what the public aid and commercial coverage is like in the territory you are considering. Know this BEFORE you take the job. And don’t listen to any hiring manager who tells you otherwise.

What’s the call points of these newly posted positions? Are the managers existing or new to company? Is it big Pharma micro mgmt? What’s legit salary range for tenured successful rep?

The new managers will probably be internal promotions. Call points IM/GP. Larger territories. Expect big time, huge pharma micro management. They measure everything at this company from the number of speaker programs to calls per day to the number of emails sent to customers through Veeva. Every move you make is counted and evaluated.

Good intel. Oh that sucks. Sounds like someone needs to desperate to pursue.

Any idea on how many ride alongs there are? The cafepharma posts here are a little concerning, but my current situation is only slightly better at a lot less pay based on what the recruiter told me

You're going to have ride-alongs every two weeks and once a month you'll have to ride-along a rocket to Uranus.

8-10 reps per region. RBMs are in the field 3-4 days per week. With all the leadership meetings and zoom calls these guys have to be on, you will probably see your manager every six weeks. Honestly it’s not nearly as bad here as it is at other companies.
