Layoffs

So it isn't 8%. And when you combine similar positions, you don't have 100% placement rate due to that little word...combine. Last, a company that has more focus on DEI rather than peoples job is bs. And for those can read the emails that came out, this certainly isn't the last round of reductions.

Enough with the DEI. Geez. We had a layoff with more coming bc our leadership is shit.
Not bc of DEI. And any company that answers to shareholders is never going to care about your job, DEI or not. It’s called captialism, bro.

Such a sniveling bitch

Looks like Takeda deployed AI algorithms are using a combination of layoffs and constructive dismissal where they put you in a situation that you’re more likely to leave over like suddenly living way outside your territory to meet that $900 million goal. Getting people to leave is cheaper than paying out severance to tenured employees. They did say they would use digital technology to find efficiencies in restructuring and probably found a legal and financial balance in restructuring using AI.

Its just a quick trip

this is interesting. And we are not on a hiring freeze… bringing kids in cheap and going to find a way to get rid of us pricey donut droppers before the year is out.

To quote a scene from The Godfather "It's the smart move..."

A bright, personable and attractive 23 year old can easily replace a 30 or 40-something making 2.5 times as much. In addition (and I hate to say it) they wouldn't have the bad habits and sense of entitlement I see out here.

With the 23 year old, you're going to unleash a sense of entitlement the likes of which ye have never seen.

So much hype and gossip over nothing - no impact to field teams, barely any cuts internally. Those cut get time to apply for other internal jobs. People saying 30% across the company what a joke.

The number of times DDT was referenced in the call today was alarming. Not to mention the very purposeful refusal to state layoffs are done for the year. This is post is feeling prophetic.
