I am thinking of either getting out of big Pharma full time because of the stress of metrics and goal attaintment I might even be laid off soon. Don't want to completely retire. Are there any smaller Pharma companies out there or even CSO's who will even consider a rep in their mid fifties whim has been an industry veteran?
I was forced out of Big Pharma (after 24 years and stellar performance) by a young boss who probably was trying to make a name for himself... Long story short, never was able to get another pharma job contract or otherwise and am now living off of savings...(Sold the house, one car, and most of the stuff that was not nailed down. No more vacations, nice dinners out, movie nights, etc...) The ride up was a lot funner than the ride down...
