There are already multiple small groups of people refusing to attend the National Sales Meeting in New Orleans due to the extremely high, and OUT OF CONTROL crime in the city. ABBOTT should do the responsible thing and change the venue. This was a very unwise and not well thought out decision.

GFY. We're getting King Cake!

Actually, we’re protesting the abortion ban and the extreme religious fundamentalists in government trying to enforce laws based on religious beliefs. Abortion is healthcare and Louisiana politicians are living in the dark ages when it comes to women’s rights and healthcare.

Good luck with that! Does Abbott have the WIC formula contract with Louisiana? My bet is they do. Abbott cares about revenue streams from the state of Louisiana, not your wokeness.

The Crescent City was chosen as the third best "big" city in the U.S., coming in behind two of the most populated cities in the country, Chicago and New York City, and beating others like Boston and Washington, D.C. Here's what the travel magazine had to say about New Orleans:

"It's easy to experience New Orleans through its most popular attractions: Mardi Gras and Bourbon Street, Cafe du Monde (which is great, don't get us wrong), and Preservation Hall jazz (also fantastic). But there's so much more to this soulful city. Its Creole, Cajun, and French roots inform everything from the music on Frenchman Street to the food and cocktails in the French Quarter over to the Bywater. It's also worth exploring the revitalized Warehouse District, home to the city's Ace Hotel, where you could easily stumble on half a dozen excellent galleries all within a few blocks' radius, or spend a whole day in contemplation at the National WWII Museum."

It's hard for folks to realize when they work at a company that cares more about quarter to quarter profits than for values, work life balance and outside work priorities. That is why ABT proud and "this is family" are thrown around so often, to distract from the reality that we work for a company that cares more about the bottom line and top line than anything else. Family doesnt lay you off when numbers are bad, or pass the blame when things go wrong. This is business. Wake up and smell the sturgis, I mean zone bars, I mean roses.
