Every major pharma company has a defined benefit plan where senior employees are still covered. New employees do not have access to it, however. Lump sum provision are still available.

until the company starts paying commission for northera fairly (not this onfi bullshit where you have 10's of 1000's of scripts so its volume never lets you tank vs a low volume drug Northera), nobody will bother working until they figure it out. Northera can cost 150,000 a year at max dose and they somehow justify paying reps a few grand. That few % miss equates to a -3000 commission (but the miss is equalized scripts, not true dollars which is what the CEO says is so great).

It is bad enough we find patients and then have no answer anymore for support services. Greed has taken over this company and its lack of giving out medication until its been approved for coverage. GREED yes, Lundbeck heritage of helping everyone they can is long gone. Thanks Kare for showing the Danish how to destroy the US Healthcare system with ripoff drugs.

It is to be assumed Lundbeck will continue overpaying sabril/onfi reps when sabril patient goals are just a few starts a trimester and might bring in 2000/mo per patient and you will find the northera reps will just sit back and make this a part time job if they work at all.

Clearly home office ignores the feedback they get from the limited reps they inquire to. Their phone surveys on compensation was a futile effort when they inquired with everest reps, the ones who make a trimester on average more per year than their olympus/denali counterparts. These were "random" calls who probably were "safe bets" to get what they wanted to hear vs people who could relay the variances in pay that are ongoing here.

home office gives all of us no incentive to give a damn when we see you commenting on record profits while support center continues to make this process of access to medication impossible. Replace your serious skills lacking people in goal setting and find someone with a clue to keep reps engaged and trying to move the needle. There is very little if anything available to us "new" and this drug Northera for what it costs and the "future" money brand for neuro needs better than what this lame duck home office is providing. Marketing = F and should be sent the door. How is this acceptable for a 3year old drug that has had almost no new material for the last 12 months?

There is right and wrong in both arguments. Most of the time non cash balance are not given as a lump sum. However many companies ( not just speaking about Pharma) who gave pensions for life have been offering a buy out of the pension. Many of the retired auto companies and such have done so. With people living much longer then expected when the pension was drawn up, it is much more cost effective to pay out a lump sum and be done with it.

This is one of the best posts summing up what's happening at Lundbeck. I too, also heard far more complaints about managers than ever before. What is happening with management? Turnover has got to be high. Does Lundbeck care? Man, let's hope someone talks with lower management and tells them things are getting out of control.

My ASM has become a control, micromanaging freak! If you don't do the call exactly the way he wants, he goes off! Brought samples back into an office after the call, and the office manager told me to never, never bring him back in there! WTF is going on with these guys? Is it direction from up above, or are they just going crazy? The thoughts of this idiot in the car makes me sick!
