Hi. I believe you get 2 weeks severance for each year at J&J. Does anyone know for certain how that affects your last day of employment? Does that get tacked on to your exit date? E.g. If I am notified 1-May and have 9 years of employment, for pension calculations would my last day of employment be 2-Sep (18 weeks after 1-May)? Would any options awarded in Feb vest with other outstanding options (need to have options for 6 months or else they evaporate. So if 1-May is the date you don't get them where as if 2-Sep you would)

Nope. Your last day of employment happens prior to severance. Anything retirement related, etc. is based on when your employment ends, not when your severance ends.
