We have been waiting for a response! It would seem logical for the home office to send their Takeda field based family members PPE to help protect them, their families, our customers, our reputation, and our company at large. We understand waiting initially to allow those very scarce resources for healthcare workers, and those most in need, but as we get closer to going back into the field this would be a smart thing to do, and would also be very much appreciated by all of us.

Where are we on this? Seriously, you would think it should be a top priority!

Get a clue. We are not going back into the field anytime in the foreseeable future. Do you really think offices are just going to let you back in without having testing done? Knowing you go from one dirty office to another? Do you expect them to sign your iPad for samples that a bunch of other doctors also touched that day?

Going back into the field will never be the same again. I suspect layoffs will happen before the end of the year for almost every pharma company.

If this is your top concern, so much so that you come to CP to gripe about it, then you have much bigger problems on the horizon than a lack of $2 PPE mask. For you, and your family?!?! You really are a walking tragic comedy.

Be thankful you have a job! We’re working from home. But your own PPE!

That’s right! Buy your own PPE if you are that concerned.

Takeda cares!?!? Yes, we can get PPE on our own to some extent, so shut up idiots. But, goes without saying a company of our size and talent should have already sent out masks and hand sanitizer to all employees. Very easy thing to do, especially considering your in the health care industry! I noticed Ramona had a huge bottle of Purel sitting on her desk during the March 13th Webex to the entire company. Thanks for sharing with the field!

Amazon. Right now. $1.20. They were never $15. Anywhere. Ever. Except maybe the corner where you also sling your meth. But keep telling your TDS infected brain that. While you are at it, drink some more hand sanitizer. Holla liberals!

I heard they're sending safety kits for reps, N95's, sanitizer, wipes, etc

Clearly it doesn't seem to be a huge priority for them, but they're going to respond just wait and see, otherwise they would look bad. All about the optics!

What's the point, we are not going to see customers in person any time soon. When we are then we need PPE, weekly tests, etc. etc. Nothing to worry for a while

During the March 13th call, when asked how long Takeda will continue paying field based employees who cannot resume working due to Covid19, Ramona said they were willing to possibly go up to 3 months (June 13th) if necessary, but would have to re-evaluate beyond that.

My prediction: Immediate layoffs by mid June, possibly 100% of sales force, regardless of how many areas have already gone back to work. Laugh all you want, nobody thought Covid19 would result in a complete global lock down. Don't be surprised. This option has been completely vetted, fully discussed, and stands ready in go mode if decided upon.

What part do you disagree with? All of it seems very possible. How long do you think they are going to pay you to sit home and email, call or worse, do one of these stupid virtual calls with our docs?
