Similac recall

What a complete sh*t show
UNBELIEVABLE! When you make baby formula, there is ZERO tolerance for screw-ups! The entire management team should be placed on unpaid leave while this mess is investigated. Our stock price will be significantly impacted negatively and we have lost the trust of pediatricians, nutritionists, and parents. As you can surmise, I am MAD as Hades! People were asleep at the wheel!!

Management not walking the floor and inspecting the situation. Ass-to-chair ratio too high. They had some 483s that are the basis for this recall; not a causal link, but bad optics in the context of those consumer complaints.

But seriously, what did they expect would happen after laying off all the front line leaders a few years ago? That was a Chicago decision btw.

When we were Ross, manufacturing QC, employee respect, and keen customer focus were the holy grail of business. Then Chicago decided to bring their own management down to Columbus and the changes negatively impacted the great culture of Ross. Current senior managers in pediatrics are snooty and full of themselves. Sorry but I can't wait to retire, Go Buckeyes!

The Ross days were fun days. Glad I worked there then (mednuts), even if Insani was manic. But yes there were soo few quality issues. I cant remember any honestly, at least not this big.

Ross was like a big family. We knew everyone and helped each other personally and professionally. There was no distinction between folks on the manufacturing floor and senior management. I miss that culture!

Abbott is focused on profits, having some of its worse leaders publish on social media to prop up their reputation and football ads during football season to get higher ratings in most noticeable brands of America. We know better to speak out against them, they gonna track all of us with their IT experts MDT is gonna eat their lunch every day. MDT is the place to be. And zone bars are awful unless you cant find a laxative at the store.

Responsibility for decisions to release lies directly with the SVP of Quality for Abbott (Scott H): this overpaid, under-competent fellow sucks up to Ford and gets paid big $$$. Ford directs him to 'maximize revenues for the low-margin pediatric products' so the division does not bring down the corporation's earnings overall. Scott's goal is to put in 10 more years and the retire with big bucks, so he will NOT raise any Quality concerns and will suppress anyone who does.

RESULT: Similac is killing or badly hurting little babies.

DVP of IT (Nichole M) directly oversaw destruction of failing QC data and 'loosened' security so back door edits could be made to change failing QC test results so they could release poor quality product: Scott H (SVP Quality) pressured Nichole to do this at the behest of Ford.

Ford's mantra is "no product wasted (regardless of quality)"
