This Week?

What is going on. I heard last week that managers found out Monday and reps would find out later in the week. There has been no confirmation that managers found out this morning. It's very hard to work not knowing what is going on. Does anyone have any new news?

I heard DMs find out end of this week and reps the end of next week

Did you hear that from anyone credible? Because everything that I've heard is that both reps and DMs find out tomorrow

Yes- they're credible- but who really knows? Tomorrow or a week from Thursday...sad part is if they are waiting til a week from Thursday- they are losing on productivity. Everyone I know is frozen- either out of fear or anger or both. This has been a textbook example of what NOT to do if you're looking for maintaining productivity. They're also very ambiguous about "incentive" comp. They are not looking out for reps best interest.

Agree 100%
I don't know of a single person rep or DM who is working right now

someone knows something! Please someone share with us what the hell is going on. I am sick of this nonsense!

Ive been a loyal J&J employee for over 15 years. I've seen a lot of questionable decisions made by management, but none compare to the cruelty of how this reorg has been conducted. My only conclusion has been that layoffs will be significant. Can't imagine any other outcome with the callous way this has been handled. Even those of us who are retained will not look at management in a good light. I'm surprised by their arrogance and callousness. Shame on you Ethicon.

Other major companies announce the layoff date and number of employees to be affected well in advance. We still don't have a number although everyone thinks it will be 50%.
Other companies also offer tenured employees an incentive to leave early and have a "raise your hand" period to ask for those who want to get the severance instead of continuing on. All of these practices lead to a more trusting environment and one where employees feel the company has done everything to retain the most employees possible.
What is going to happen here is that 50% of the reps will be cut, and many of the reps retained will leave within three months because they don't like how this was handled, they don't like the overweighted bag, their new managers, new territory, new comp, etc.

It is no where near 50%...more like 30% tops..
I agree with everything else you said

That would have been a more respectable route

Let's all tell the Covidien reps what we have been working on...feed them some business. Plus, tell our our surgeon friends to request Cov. I am sick of being treated like crap and that I am powerless. They have no idea the weight some of us hold within these hospitals! We could crush them

I agree totally. This is unacceptable. You just don't handle it this way. Business changes, fine! But, when I feel disrespected is when the gloves come off. We better hear something by tomorrow! How does everyone else feel?

How much business do you think you could realistically take from Ethicon if you did the above in your terr? I could do about 500k yearly
