Based on this post, you should be in big Pharma. This is a good company and they are trying to get KOS people to come over. Sounds like your interview did not go so well. This is a hard sell, they want people who can grow the business, not just take over a star territory. They are aware of our situation and will wait for us! BUT NOT FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing, just a way of getting out pharma, no samples, hard sell, the challenge.......... Could be good money in the future, might not. But hey, why did people come to Kos 10 years ago? Everything is a risk these days. Don't believe all the negative on here. At the same time don't think it will be the next Kos. A few people,and again we know who you are, did not get a job with the company once everything is said and done with Abbott!!!!!!!!!!

BC is building an empire over here just like he did at KOS, that is what he does best. When he sees talent he goes after it and he is a great judge of that, just take a look at the history of the NE over the past 4yrs nothing but success. One thing i will say I would not want to fuck with him because he is a lot smarter than you think. High stakes poker and he is sitting with pocket ACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

take your BS attacks somewhere else. they are stand up guys & have had lots of sucess here at Kos so layoff & leave them alone you should worry about your own BS future with Abtt

Wow, I can't believe how much interest there is in this dog.

Remember, they are not selling a drug like niacin which when prescribed is taken every day for life. They are selling a useless diagnostic that gets ordered once for any one patient and the margins are tiny.

The company that may be making some $$ is Quest or the other diagnostics lab that service the docs. The company behind the test, i.e. diadexus, makes so little on each test that it needs millions of them to make any money and pay for all these people they are hiring.

The economics of this thing just do not work. Be careful

Hahaha, I know more than you think.

You can call me any names you want but, since you seem to be inside, I would suggest you ask a lot of questions of those people who apparently have "done it before". That was in a different company, at a different time, under different reimbursement conditions, and it was a company that owned the lab itself. They made lots of money by billing for multiple parts of a single test which can't be done here.

This is a very different situation. No, not jealous and I won't call you any names, just be smart and ask lots of good questions. Don't automatically believe everything they tell you.

As for economic model, no I don't have one, but here's one you can add up yourself. It's a guess, but probably not that far off.
- # of people in the company x average salary and bonus = people costs
plus some figure for overhead (take your pick)
- Now multiply the number of tests that get ordered and multiple by a fraction of the reimbursed amount (it's something like $40 right?). Take a guess at how much the lab makes and what is left over, probably eight to ten bucks at the most.
- Now compare the two numbers and see how rich you'll get...that is after the investors take their cut.

I don't have inside knowledge but gave a lot of thought to this and decided not to join them when I could have. No regrets.
