Now here (above) is someone who knows how to read the writing on the executive's walls. "Closer to home....lmao" Some of us know for fact that was not the reason she left CVS Health for lucky Bristol-Myers Squibb.

The trend is in, BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB led by the amazing talent evaluator himself, Giovanni "C", is learning how to up it's game like CVS Health "led" by Larry J. Merlo. Says, ‘it’s time for states to have the tools they need to ensure that prescription drug prices are affordable’

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today filed a reply brief with the United States Supreme Court in Arkansas’s pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) case, Rutledge v. Pharmaceutical Care Management Association. In this case, Rutledge seeks to protect rural Arkansas’s small businesses and save community pharmacies from abusive PBM payment practices. The Supreme Court was scheduled to hear oral arguments in late-April but arguments were postponed until the fall as a result of COVID-19.

“Our case to protect Arkansans and local pharmacies has such broad-based support that we are looking forward to the opportunity to present our case before the highest Court,” said Attorney General Rutledge. “In the midst of the economic hardship caused by the pandemic, it’s time for states to have the tools they need to ensure that prescription drug prices are affordable while protecting their frontline healthcare providers.”

In 2015, the Arkansas General Assembly enacted Act 900 to regulate PBM—the drug middlemen that reimburse pharmacists for prescription drugs. Before Act 900’s enactment, PBMs regularly paid pharmacies less than it costs pharmacies to acquire generic drugs while pocketing a hefty profit. That abusive market practice had caused more than 16 percent of rural pharmacies nationwide to close in recent years.

Rutledge’s petition was granted by the U.S. Supreme Court January 2019. Rutledge’s briefs have been supported by the U.S. Solicitor General and a bipartisan, 45-state coalition led by California.

    2. Those PBM rebates are not fully passed on the consumer, the patients we all SERVE
    3. CVS Caremark loves increased drug prices because you don't have to be an accounting genius regarding increased rebates coming back at you.
  6. CVS Caremark may have issued "gag clauses" (Need to confirm that but likely.)
  7. CVS Caremark restricted drug choice to the detriment of optimal therapeutic care
  8. Derica W. Rice helped drive in his legacy, to be spoken at his unedited eulogy, a WIDER health care gap between poorer AMERICANS and wealthy communities (i.e. Where Derica W. Rice lavishly resides in his noble suffering for a greater cause).

Ohio Auditor releases stunning Medicaid PBM audit report
Today, Ohio Auditor Dave Yost, in a presentation to the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee, released the results of his audit of the Ohio Medicaid prescription drug program. To be blunt, the results are jaw-dropping. (Is your jaw dropping Derica? How about your jaw, Giovanni, person of highest integrity?)

While we are still digesting the full 33-page report, it is abundantly clear that reform is needed for a myriad of reasons. The report highlights some deeply troubling issues not just for pharmacists, but taxpayers and patients as well. The analysis, released yesterday by XIL Consulting, who advises some of the top players in the industry, concludes that pharmacy benefit managers are making enormous profits on so-called direct and indirect remuneration fees. PBMs impose the fees on pharmacies on a per-prescription basis. They’re assessed after – sometimes months after - the point of sale.

“DIR pharmacy fees overall have skyrocketed by 1,600% in the last five years, totaling $8.5B since 2013,” says the report. According to the firm, “a loophole in the program allows health plans and PBMs to pocket an excessive amount of pharmacy DIR fees rather than offset prescription costs for seniors.”

You forgot the part, 'where he gave X thousand dollars of his ill gotten wealth in a health care JOB, strapped on the backs of inner city, rural and underserved populations across the United States of America to charities. Charities or interests of his choice that essentially held him up in false esteem so he was able to sleep at night and strut in demi-god fashion across this free land he freely transgressed without impunity in this lifetime.'
