Field sales/ Salary and earning potential

Was interested in getting into this industry. Was do the field sales reps make in base? was is a realistic commission check here monthly. How does one make commissions here with the DME? How does this company compare to other competitors like PPS etc...??

Not even.

Unless you go to work for a VERY well ran center you will make very little above your base.

Lincares chart note process is so broken. Rep turn over is like 6 months.

DO NOT even think about working for this company until the chart note process is fixed.

I used to do very well with them. Resigned as has so many others.

Seriously...why does anyone with a degree work here? 40k tops? You could al out double your salary at ANY pharma or contract job. Ever consider mattress sales? Look into it! You can make 80k with a lot less bullshit to deal with....although retail hours suck. But hey.....you're an idiot if you stay here too long!

base pay is $24k per year with NO commissions. They may throw you a bone every
now and then and give you $100. This company is not even in the ballpark of being a legitament medical company offering any kind of career opportunity for sales people!
Morales sucks, computer systems totally out of date, sales reps. report to Center Mgr. who know nothing about sales (some used to be delivery guys), reps must rely on other people to collect paperwork before they can get commissions (which usually is none), most importantly, you will "starve to death! Run don't walk from this company!

Now, Id agree with this statement.

A few years ago not so much.

The Germans are going to milk Lincare dry then sell them. Will never be the same company.

Why not just sell hyundais? Most dealers will give you a car to drive and you'll take home 50-60k easy!

If you don't like what you get paid why don't you leave? You knew what you signed up for in the first place. So if your take home pay hasn't raised maybe you are a failure.

This can't really be true, is it? How can they keep anyone worth having at a salary that low? It's almost like you are doing volunteer or charity work. What's a realistic bonus and salary for a decent rep?

25k base with a few hundred a month in commissions at best. Shitty pay but great first sales job out of school. Stay a year, learn the basics and move on to pharma.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Was my first sales gig out of school. Lincare (while it may be unorganized and offer very low pay) set the stage for a successful medical sales career. You won’t earn a lot but you’ll learn a lot.
