You seem angry…time to wake up? Yes! Absolutely! And save some of the money you are making for faking calls and dropping off coffee and lunches. But it is probably fear keeping people from making a change. The truth is, everyone over 40 in pharma sales has been hoping to ride the Gravy train to retirement. Unfortunately, that probably isn’t going to happen. It just isn’t. There are a lot of smart people in pharma sales who could be doing something else. Golden handcuffs keep you shackled to the endless greed in the industry. Start figuring out what else you can do now, while you have a little time; clock is ticking.

Thanks bagel boy- this rep hits the gym -Fakes calls and beds my girlfriend at 3pm
 


This job, like any other job, is what you make of it. If you do the bare minimum then you are probably just a bottom dweller who fakes calls and brings food to people. Good pay for part time work. But if you move up or try something different, like working in operations or marketing, you can learn new information and skills that can help you enjoy your work or move on to another industry. I like what I do. I like my customers and try to make something of my work day so that when I go home I feel like I did good work.

I'm glad you feel good about yourself-nice pat on the back brother! You give offices so much more than a package insert, you bring you coffee, donuts, cheese puffs, and soda...

The most intelligent secure their position by valuing their customers, positioning their products where they can help patients and saving their money for a rainy day. They are rightfully grateful for a job that provides and great income and benefits. Chronic complainers always seem to be the people bouncing from one company to the next every year.

Fix your attitude. There are literally tens of thousands of people who would trade places with you in a hot minute.

yes you bring such value-how on earth did I treat my patients until you walked through the door with your donuts and coupons and that cheese smile.. thanks you saved many lives today...

What you fail to understand is that IT IS NOT A GRAVY TRAIN.

1. This industry doesn't pay great anymore.

2. This industry micromanages and take the fun out of selling. If you think sales is not supposed to be fun, you don't understand selling and life.

There are better opportunities for those that want to work. In this industry, performance is not valued anymore either.

Very sad times.

This idiot doesn’t even know what the “Golden Handcuffs” even are!! It’s being w/ ONE company for over 12-15 years and you can’t leave because you have too much vested interest in one place!! Not greed at all… more like to much loyalty.

YUP... I go days with only speaking to only staff. sometime a low level PA but that it
