So, I interviewed with Rotech. I have pretty strong tenure in field sales- and never have I ever.

Just curious as to whether this is accurate or the location interviewing is just sociopathic.

I’ll admit the staff was kind and the comp plan looked like it could be lucrative.

These struck me as the weirdest things I have ever heard of:

    1) POINTS for bonus?
    2) Miss your quota 3 mos in a row (ah-hm Covid 19 or lost a major account to no fault of your own) and you are bounced- out of a job.
    3) A cell phone expected to be on you 24/7 with ringer on.
    4) App on said phone that tracks your location 24/7?!? Hello New World Order! I was told they track these constantly too. That’s freaking GOT to be a violation of human rights.
    5) Report to an office by 8am every day to do something that can be done via Zoom For more efficient territory coverage.
    6) Expectations of consistent evenings and weekends to ‘build the relationships.’

Are there actually salespeople at Rotech??? I cannot fathom that any rational human being would do this to themselves ‍♀️

You DO NOT want to work for Rotech....they are an unethical company run by a bunch of lunatics.

The phone tracking sounds like an invasion of privacy! That is nuts!

    1. Points are just for tracking and make it like a scoreboard so the ops side and sales side are all pulling in the same direction.
    2. Yes the three month rule seems harsh on the surface but is typically only used when the SR is not productive and not likely to improve. Extenuating circumstances are taken into consideration.
    3. & 4. The Motus app is left on for mileage tracking and most reps just leave the phone in their car and no you don't have to carry 24/7. If you do by choice that's fine. The tracking of reps is usually done when there is an issue with production. Reps that produce are left alone.
    5. Untrue...most reps are required to attend a meeting or two a week at the location to ensure the ops team is informed of target accounts, any issues or sucesses and can hear firsthand about set ups. SR has a sales planner. If it makes sense to go into field rather than the location they want you out in the field.
    6. It is good for new reps to meet the 24/7/365 staffs of major hospitals. It isn't something that needs to happen every week or every month but knowing the weekend discharge planners and how referrals happen after hours can be a huge advantage. This should be a non issue.

I hope that helps. It is possible that your interview was with a psycho rules stickler but the reality I have seen is different. A good rep with Rotech can make excellent money and enjoy reasonable autonomy. Good luck with whatever decision you make on your employment.

Produce and production. Yep. The AM s set the points to fail. You don’t produce enough vents and your out. The company is a joke. Read all the review on here and on Indeed. Here is the latest unethical shit they pull.
Dr DCs a patient from oxygen, you are not allowed to pick up. Why? He might have COVID 19!! Yup,guess who gets to foot the bill? Patients.
