Pfizer Marketing

The idea that these things are actually "marketed" is one of the greatest fallacies in modern business. PBM's, trade access people and contracting dictate 95% of what gets written. The other 5% is driven by doctors and their peer education, journals and departmental communication. Even what docs say on Twitter carries 1000X more influence than any marketing piece or spam email. Unbelievable.

There was a time when reps had SOME influence (a little), but now you are 100% correct. At some point, companies are going to figure this out and question the need for 100s of reps. I’m glad I’m out of this rat race and wish the best for all the reps still out there.

When I was a boy growing up here by God you got so much shit you did not have any idea what to do with any of it, usually about 10% of it proved to be pretty good and the rest of it ended up in the damn landfill.

Quite true. Add to that that I'll bet that most top teaching hospitals won't let reps past the coffee shop...which works well, because many of them can do no more than rattle off a few RC-approved talking points in 20 seconds.

You’ve still got your huckster Scott Gottlieb!

It should be illegal to leave government and ‘ca$h in’ when there are clear conflicts of interest.

The Sacklers (Purdue) did it, as payment for the FDA allowing them to put that shameful statement on the Oxycontin label. Apparently it is not uncommon for FDA reviewers to work for industry after leaving that organization

Wow that’s comforting, Purdue and the Sackler’s did it too! Can anyone say “whistleblower”!
What sacks of sh!t! They are part of what’s ruining
Pharma’s reputation.
