BMS Cell Therapy CAR-T

I keep hearing rumors that they are going to sell of CAR-T / Cell Therapy. Anyone know anything about this? I mean it makes sense. They make no money on this, they actually lose money. They employee a TON of people. Seattle has over 1000 people. Selling it would make BMS some money AND save them a ton of money. About to lose 50% of revenues selling CAR-T makes sense to me. They just bought 270Bio. The organization has a president who could be the CEO of the new company if they IPO it or sell it to a company that doesn't have CAR-T. Seems logical to me. Anyone know anything?

Why are we about to lose 50% of Car-t revenue? Because of competition moving into 2L?

not CAR-T specifically losing 50% of revenue- BMS. Loss of exclusivity for Nivo and Eliquis alone is about 50% not to mention all the other drugs coming off patent.

That's why I don't think BMS can justify such a huge money loser like CAR-T. That group is also IMPOSSIBLE to work with. They think it's them against the world. Rather than being good partners and colleagues who work with BMS they refuse to work with the rest of the company. Good riddance when they are let go. Lots of bad apples in that group.

Breyanzi is looking at stiff competition when BS get 2L. They could easily start to lose significant share. Agree they are an arrogant group. Big boys club in my area.

10000% AGREE ON THIS! my interactions with them have been so negative. Arrogant is a kind word to describe this group. They all have this major attitude and are unwilling to work with others. It's like they all have only child syndrome. Terrible way to do science. It's a team effort and they just don't get that. Really sad. Good luck to them when they get laid off it will be hard finding new jobs with the attitudes and behaviours they bring to science.

Please sell them, they are a money suck, are not team players, and do not represent the best of BMS.

Earnings report that just came out showed Breyanzi strong growth, but what are expenditures? They just opened new facility in the Netherlands? Anyway, I don’t think they will yank or sell Breyanzi right now, but with BMS nothing shocks me anymore. And yes stiff competition coming.

Community Onc is all over bispecifics, nearly every group is either talking about using them or is already trained to do so. The Cell Therapy group has been too arrogant to listen. I've been telling them what I've been hearing from offices for over a year. My CTAM wouldn't have known if I hadn't told him because he's too important to be calling on community oncology. Now here we are without a plan and high growth expectations. Typical BMS reacting to the market instead of leading it.

BMS recently acquired Abecma from 270. Why do that, and then immediately sell off the CART division?

BMS is filled with r*****s, but surely they are not that retarded?
You can't be that stupid. They spend 280 million so they fully own Abecma. Much more attractive to sell off BMS CAR-T if they fully own Abecma and it's not owned by 270. God you're dumb.

BMS has diligently been trying to find a buyer for the CAR-T division for quite some time. BMS allowed cell therapy to remain their own independent division because it’s easier to sell the division as a whole, and more attractive for a buyer, as one unit. However, BMS cannot find a buyer. BMS is now exploring manufacturing cell therapy for other companies in an effort to try and break even because Breyanzi & Abecma are losing propositions.
