India

TOO many chiefs at amgen/pharma in general:) tendancy to hire/promote their own once they get seniority - hopefully djt will close the h1's and jobs will open for amer. or at least better diversity

happening across the industry, many companies pushing work to low cost countries like India. It's been tried before, many times, and has never panned out. always comes back to US, then a new set of leaders come in and say, hey, why don't we ship jobs to low cost countries to save money! and the cycle starts all over

I'm all for saving a buck.so let's put India on the back burner. Makes more sense for Amgen to rid TO and SSF sites and exit California altogether. Other states are tax friendly and will bend over to attract Amgen.

good way to slim down the workforce also, many would not move to another state
Fear not, the top execs will remain unscathed behind their mansion gates in Ventura County. Meanwhile, people keep putting turbans atop the George Rathmann statue outside of B38. This pet project to rid American jobs from a California founded company is embarrassing. Offshore all you want but the feds are keenly aware of this ploy. Can't wait to see Bobby and his boys testify in front on congress someday. Amgen owes back taxes in the billions, some experts note 4 billion on the low end and as high as 10 billion. The excuse of Puerto Rico tax code at the time simply won't appease the feds. Wordsmith all you want, using terms such as enterprise mindset and workforce transformation. Employees aren't stupid, this simply means Amgen wants to cut labor costs to appease shareholders. Furthermore, Amgen is so dumb, they don't realize employees can access many of the AIN plans by using key search terms on MyAmgen. The turban on George Rathmann's statue has deeper meaning and he would turn over in his grave with these antics. For those who aren't aware of the statue, Amgen encourages you to use ChatGPT to learn more
