Pre-Employment Drug Test & THC

Can anyone shed any light regarding Vanda’s pre-employment drug test and if they permit medical marijuana cards? I know they screen for THC but I’m curious if anyone has submitted a positive-THC test and still been granted employment.

Note: I have stopped smoking since being offered the job (sales). I am worried it won’t exit my system in time and my offer will be revoked.

Please let me know if you know anyone who has been in my shoes, and how HR handled it. Thank you!
 




Weed is still federally illegal, and this company sells drugs and is under a lot of federal regulators... what do you think?
I think they do care, which is my concern. But companies like Eli Lilly also have federal contracts, and their drug panels exclude THC completely. Ultimately just hoping someone has insight into the level of discretion HR has and how conservative this company tends to lean.

If you have a medical card it is probably fine. Ask the lab when you take your drug test.
 


Just use fake piss or get someone to piss for you and put it in a container with a hand warmer. Testing for thc is outdated but they did look for it in the panel I took. Not sure how they’d view a positive but not worth the risk imo if you’ve got an offer.
